Ordinary

In the middle of December,

On a grey and dreary day,

Sat a boy in his rain coat on his eighteenth birthday,

A girl sat beside him,

He didn't know her name,

But she stayed for a year until she finally ran away,

Just an ordinary boy,

And his ordinary song,

When he started the sing the chorus the whole crowd sang along,

That girl heard him singing,

That song he wrote for her,

She stopped and closed her eyes,

As he sputtered out the verse,

Girl don't you know I'm the luckiest guy around,

Just an ordinary boy in an ordinary town,

Girl won't you stay just for a little more,

Cause your the prettiest girl,

And I'm the luckiest boy,

That girl came to her senses,

As she got home that night,

She picked up the phone and finally made it right,

That boy celebrated and got up to dance,

She broke his heart before,

But he gave her a chance,

Girl don't you know I'm the luckiest guy around,

Just an ordinary boy in an ordinary town,

Girl won't you stay just for a little more,

Cause your the prettiest girl,

And I'm the luckiest boy,
